Ingredients

Pizza pinwheels
- 1 sheet crescent or pizza dough
- 1/4 cup pizza sauce
- 20 mini pepperoni slices
- 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella
To pack
- Strawberries, grapes and mandarin segments
- Carrot, cucumber and bell pepper sticks
Method
- 1
Spread pizza sauce over the dough, scatter with pepperoni and mozzarella, and roll up into a log.
- 2
Slice into pinwheels and place cut-side up on a lined baking sheet.
- 3
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes, until golden and bubbly. Cool.
- 4
Pack the pizza pinwheels in the bento box with fruit and veggie sticks, and keep chilled.
Tips
- Chill the rolled log 10 minutes before slicing for clean spirals.
- Cool the pinwheels completely before packing so no steam softens them.
- These freeze great after baking — pack them thawed for a quick bento box.
