Ingredients

- 6 limes, quartered
- 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted
- 1/3–1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 4 cups cold water, divided
- Ice
- Fresh mint, lime slices and whole cherries, to garnish
Method
- 1
Add the quartered limes and 3 cups of cold water to a blender. Pulse just a few times — don't over-blend or the pith turns bitter — then strain into a pitcher and set aside.

- 2
In the blender, combine the cherries, sweetened condensed milk and the remaining 1 cup of cold water. Blend until smooth, then strain.
- 3
Fill a large pitcher with plenty of ice and add fresh lime slices and whole cherries.
- 4
Pour in the strained lime mixture, then the cherry mixture, and stir well.
- 5
Add a splash more cold water if needed to reach your preferred strength. Garnish with extra cherries, lime slices and fresh mint, and serve immediately.

Tips
- Pulse the limes only 3–4 times — over-blending releases bitterness from the peel.
- Serve within the hour; whole-lime drinks turn bitter as they sit.
- Frozen pitted cherries work when fresh are out of season — no need to thaw.
